Job Summary
We’re seeking a talented and passionate Website Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible primarily for enhancing existing websites with payment capabilities, such as embedding payment widgets and other payment solutions.
Your role will be to work with the merchants to ensure alignment for effective branding, to facilitate online payments and drive conversions. You’ll work closely with design, marketing and engineering teams to deliver a top-tier online experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Enhancing existing websites with payment capabilities, such as embedding payment widgets and other payment solutions.
2. Partner with merchants to ensure alignment for effective branding, to facilitate online payments and drive conversions.
3. Work closely with design, marketing and engineering teams to deliver a top-tier online experience for our customers.
4. Write clean, efficient and reusable code using modern web development frameworks and technologies.
5. Integrate APIs, analytics tools, and third-party services as needed.
6. Conduct regular website testing and debugging to maintain functionality and performance.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends, technologies and best practices to continuously improve the site, obsessing over payments and wider fintech industry trends and technologies.
Requirements
1. Located in Europe only - Ireland or UK ideally. Please do not apply if not EU located.
Technical Skills:
1. Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or PHP is a plus.
2. Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress, Webflow, or similar tools.
3. Knowledge of SEO best practices and tools for optimizing website performance.
4. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
5. Understanding of API integrations and web security standards.
6. Experience in payments and embedding payment solutions a plus.
Experience:
1. Proven experience as a Website Developer or similar role, preferably in a startup or fintech environment.
2. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
3. Experience working with cross-functional teams, including design and marketing.
Soft Skills:
1. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
2. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
3. A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Knowledge of payments and fintech.
2. Experience with UX/UI design principles and tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
3. Familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Hotjar.
