Role : Food & Beverage Supervisor (Bar knowledge prefferable)
Reporting to: Food & Beverage Manager
Key Responsibilities:
- To assist the management team, F&B with efficiently and effectively control the departmental operation
- To ensure the smooth and efficient running of the F&B in line with the departmental SOP manual
- To ensure all departmental staff are able to carry out their duties to the standards as laid down in the standard of performance manual
- Ensure that the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, appearance, body language and conduct of employees is maintained by all employees in department
- To ensure all guests receive a genuine, warm, friendly, courteous welcome on arrival and during their stay from all departmental personnel
- To assist in achieving goals in relation to mystery audits and all customer feedback platforms
- To empower, encourage and promote employees to make on the spot guest satisfaction decisions
- To ensure all guest queries are handled promptly and efficiently
- To ensure all guest requests are met regarding room allocation and specification i.e. VIP’s, regulars, and groups & special requirements
- To maximize revenue, through up selling and additional sales, efficient recording of sales
- To meet with all group organizers and follow up on any requests or concerns
- To ensure all staff make follow up promptly on any guest request and ensure guest satisfaction
- To process all charges for groups and individuals efficiently
- To manage and control seating capacity without compromising standards
- To be aware of relevant competitor information and market changes to initiate changes to our services / rates as appropriate
- To ensure all staff are familiar with safe keeping, cash handling, credit policy of the hotel
- To constantly liaise with other departments to ensure all guest requests are attended to efficiently
- To ensure the F&B team are fully aware of any menu updates, specials, hotel promotions, corporate promotions or special activities going on in the hotel/area
- To organize and assist with carrying out any reasonable guest and staff promotional events when required
- To ensure efficient assessment and introduction of products are done according to standards i.e. Wine list and presentation products & props
- To comply with the RSA policy at all times
- Monitor operations to ensure consistent sequence of service is followed and all brand standards are properly executed
- Ensure the proper handling, maintenance, storage, and security of all department equipment
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained in all F&B areas
- To ensure the upkeep and maintenance of area of responsibility i.e. equipment, furniture and fittings, and effective preventative maintenance system and schedule is in operation
- To attend meetings as required

Skills:
Previous Experience in a similar role Exceptional Customer Service Skills Proven track record in supervising a team Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
