Lab Systems Engineer

About the Role: The Lab Systems Engineer will work as part of an onsite with our client in Dublin. The Lab Systems Engineer is responsible for the system lifecycle management, from procurement, installation qualification and lifecycle support of both GxP lab workstations, along with their associated software and supporting infrastructure. The successful candidate should have experience in validation and support of Laboratory systems/IT applications. The candidate is expected to be self-motivated and develop an understanding of the business. Experience of working in a pharmaceutical operation is desirable. Responsibilities: Install and configure computer systems associated with analytical instruments in a regulated GMP Laboratory environment. Perform administrative tasks on systems such as new user account creation, user access reviews and direct IT support to Laboratory operations. Respond to IT support requests to address operational issues with enterprise and quality applications. Troubleshoot and document software and middleware issue in line with quality procedures, as part of cross functional team. Author or Review SOPs and associated knowledge articles related to administration and installation of applications used in the lab environments. Ensure compliance with site policies, SOP and work practices and stay current with training requirements. Contributing to prompt and accurate communications with other parts of the organization on IT projects, and compliance topics Support global standardisation projects on IT processes and analytical instrument use within Laboratories. Function as IT SME where require as part of Quality processes such as change controls and CAPAs. Requirements: Suitability degree qualified IT professional or equivalent qualification or relevant experience. Minimum 2 years experience supporting digital systems/IT applications. Minimum 1 year experience in a regulated environment. Good understanding of Windows Desktop OS support tasks (such as Win10, Win11 OS). Demonstrated experience software configuration and data integrity tools to configure PC controlled applications to meet regulatory requirements. Knowledge of GxP operations as it relates to the EU Annex 11, FDAs CFR 21 Part 11, ISPE GAMP 5 requirements and well as Good Documentation Practices (GDP), ALCOA+ and FAIR data practices. Demonstrated experience in using IT ticketing system and workload management tools. Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting steps in GMP environment, specifically responding to IT support requests to address operational issues with enterprise and quality applications. Strong oral and written communication skills are needed, with proven ability to communicate and build relationships within cross-functional Teams. Knowledge of Microsoft O365 applications and other productivity applications such as Adobe Acrobat, Jira or Dev Ops. Experience of use of electronic Validation tools, is desirable.
