Senior Medical Scientist

The purpose of this role:

Assist in implementing a clinical laboratory service that supports the clinical needs of the patients

Essential Criteria:

· Possess a NFQ Level 9 post graduate qualifications or equivalent qualification at minimum Level 9.

· Minimum 4 years post qualification experience in a Medical Laboratory.

· Be registered with CORU on the Medical Scientists Register.

Benefits

- Salary from €60.612 - 81,057 per annum based on years of experience
- Permanent, full-time contracts

Responsibilities

- Shall be responsible for all technical/scientific aspects of the work of the Department.
- Shall participate in ensuring the Quality Management System of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine conforms to the standards contained in ISO 15189; Medical Laboratories – Particular requirements for quality and competence
- Perform routine, specialised and research/development work to the highest professional standards, as determined by the Laboratory Management Team.
