Detox Nurse Location: Dublin Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Contract Options We are supporting the recruitment of Nurses to detox and addiction recovery services across a range of care settings in Dublin. These roles involve working as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting individuals undergoing substance withdrawal, stabilisation and ongoing recovery planning. Key Responsibilities Support safe detoxification plans in line with clinical protocols and medical guidance Complete nursing assessments and monitor physical and psychological wellbeing throughout treatment Administer prescribed medications, including withdrawal management regimes Provide patient education, motivational support and harm minimisation guidance Participate in multidisciplinary handovers, case reviews and discharge planning Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with regulatory and service standards Contribute to safe day-to-day clinical operations and emergency response procedures where required Requirements Registered Nurse (RGN / RPN / RGN-RPN dual qualification / RMHN) with current NMBI registration Experience in one or more of the following is beneficial (not essential): Substance misuse / addiction care Mental health nursing Community or residential care environments Strong communication, assessment and clinical decision-making skills Professional, calm and reassuring approach when supporting individuals in withdrawal or crisis Desirable Motivational interviewing experience or training Experience working within community health, recovery, detox or stabilisation programmes Pay & Contract Excellent remuneration package disclosed upon application, with consideration given to experience and clinical background. Contract and shift patterns vary by service (daytime, rotational, and block-shift options available).
