FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Procurement Manager on behalf of a progressive agricultural business North of Cork City. This is a full-time permanent role.

Our client manufactures and distributes high performance animal health products to the animal health industry in Ireland and to overseas international markets.

Job Summary

To manage Supply Chain & Procurement (SC&P) activities, supporting the value proposition by driving cost focus, mitigating risk and ensuring compliance. To provide sourcing, contract and supplier relationship management for the category to achieve reduced cost , improved operating efficiencies and product / service quality.

Director of Site Operations.

Job location

15 mins commute of North of Cork City.

Duties and responsibilities

- Responsible for the supply chain & procurement (SC&P) activities

- Review existing suppliers to ensure the company is attaining the best value for money and is competitive versus competitors in the market.

- Creation and coordination of an annual savings pipeline to deliver additional value to the laboratory business.

- Supplier Compliance – support and drive the business to further the ambitions and reach targeted goals on compliance with suppliers to maximise the commercial opportunity of the business.

- Carry out supplier competitive tender activities to maximise the commercial benefit to the business

- Ensure the correct levels of reporting are carried out to the business and objectives are achieved

- General price increase and inflation management for business.

- Support Rebate collection and coordination

- Work closely with stakeholders in the organization, ensuring close collaboration with on-site teams

- Attend key trade fairs Worldwide to maintain supplier contacts/relationships and to source new suppliers

- Work with the CFO to maintain accurate purchasing forecasts and cash flows. Updated annually as part of the budgeting process.

- Work with the Director of site operations to maximise cash flow by minimising stock levels. Ensuring timely turnover of raw materials and packaging.

Candidate profile

- Degree education with 8 to 10 years' experience

- Strong business acumen.

- Knowledgeable in negotiation and contracting processes, tools and systems. Understanding of critical clauses / T&Cs, capable of handling complex supplier relationships.

- Business Partner mentality with excellent stakeholder management skills.

- An effective communicator who can operate at multiple levels using different formats.

- Results-orientated, strong focus on the achievement of targeted results.

- Project management skills with a focus on execution. Must be able to prioritize, create a plan and deliver it.

- Comfortable with pace and fluidity.

- Team player, proactive, self-starter. Ability to self-organise and prioritise workload effectively.

- Lead Supplier Management, ensuring strong supplier performance.
