Your Role: As Advanced Analytics and Business Intelligence Senior Manager you will be responsible for leading the Advanced Analytics teams within the CDAO ?Engage? Pillar. You will lead the teams who transform data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making, commercial innovation, and operational improvements across the bank. You will lead, support, and deliver insight-driven decision support and predictive analytics across the organisation, partnering with key business areas to meet bank goals. You will lead scalable insight delivery by empowering business users through self-service analytics tools, reusable data assets, and guided support structures. Your role involves leading the delivery of Business Intelligence (BI) solutions that provide real-time insights into customer behaviours, market trends, and operational efficiency, as well as Advanced Analytics solutions that drive business outcomes. You will lead managers who report to you in leveraging BI, advanced analytics, machine learning, data science, and AI to drive growth, efficiency, and innovation. This role will play a crucial role in the Data & Analytics strategy set out by the bank to inform the product vision and roadmap for analytics products. You will be responsible for building a high performing team of Analytics managers, Data Science managers, Data analysts and Data scientists who exceed the expectations of the business stakeholders by applying best practices, ethics, and compliance standards. Your Team: You will lead the Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics teams within the ?Engage? pillar of the CDAO function with key responsibility for teams and capabilities across Business intelligence, Strategic insights, Predictive modelling, Analytics Governance, and Analytics enablement. This team leads efforts in creating a data-driven culture at PTSB, ensuring that data is accessible, understandable, and actionable for all employees. You will report into the Head of Business Partnering & Advanced Analytics and lead a team of c. 26 people as well as external partners as required. Your Responsibilities: Functional Strategy & Delivery Manage the portfolio of Analytics use cases and products, prioritising initiatives based on business impact and resource availability. Lead the delivery of the enterprise-wide advanced analytics and BI strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the bank's business priorities. Risk Management & Control Implement robust risk management frameworks ensuring that analytics activities align with the bank's risk appetite and regulatory requirements. Oversee the development and enforcement of controls and policies for analytics governance and analytics processes, safeguarding data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance across all projects. Lead an inspiring Culture Promote a collaborative and inclusive work culture, valuing diverse perspectives and teamwork in solving complex analytical problems. Clearly communicate the strategic vision for data and analytics within the bank, ensuring that all team members understand their role in achieving this vision. Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across various business units, enhancing the role of analytics in strategic decision-making and ensuring that insights are actionable and relevant. Cultivate a deep understanding of business unit objectives and challenges, acting as a strategic advisor and ensuring that the analytics solutions provided drive specific business outcomes and foster long-term partnerships. Requirements: Essential ? ? Minimum of 8+ years? experience and demonstrable track record of achievement in Data & Analytics, or a relevant area, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management role. ? Relevant 3rd Level qualification (Degree, Masters) in a related field (IT, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics). ? Proven track record of achievement in Data Analytics / Data Science or a relevant area, with experience in a leadership/management role. ? Leadership experience with data visualisation, reporting, business intelligence, UI/UX design. ? Experience in leading teams of data scientists in AI, ML and modelling delivery. ? Extensive knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Quicksight, SAS Viya). ? Extensive knowledge of advanced analytical methods, with a focus on prescriptive, predictive, statistical modelling and AI literacy. ? Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. ? Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and persuade senior decision makers using complex data insights. ? Knowledge of the relevant regulatory obligations as they apply to the role e.g. - GDPR, Data Protection Act - EU AI Act
