Location/Division Specific Information

Our PPD Laboratory Services team has a direct impact on improving patient health through the expertise of scientists, industry thought-leaders and therapeutic guides. Discover Impactful Work:

As an Associate Project Manager within our GMP analytical testing facility you will collaborate with multiple areas including clients, laboratory staff and sample management in the coordination of project setup, maintenance and closure of lab projects.

A day in the Life:

1. Serves as local contact for global lab studies and point of contact for lab teams. Ensures timely completion of activities and deliverables.
2. Serves as designated back-up for PM staff and point of contact coverage for Project Managers when out-of office.
3. Advises project managers on procedural and budgetary items and the necessity for change due to any subsequent study modifications and/or protocol amendments.
4. Monitors monthly Budget reviews and contract modifications.
5. Monitors receipt of samples from clients and allocates to projects.
6. Monitors completion of shipment requests.
7. Schedules group meetings and teleconferences (internal & external), prepares and distributes agenda, records and distributes minutes as required.
8. Monitors assignments and adjusts priorities and work schedule to meet deadlines and provide high quality deliverables. Completes additional tasks needed in support of project, client and departmental objectives.

Education and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
2. Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 2 years') or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.
3. Experience in sample management, lab setting, project management/coordination setting.

1. Good organizational skills with the ability to adapt and adjust to changing priorities and to manage multiple assignments with challenging/conflicting deadlines.
2. Effective project management and organizational skills.
3. Good computer skills.
4. General knowledge of clinical trial processes and programs.
5. Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
6. Good written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to effectively conduct oral presentations.
8. Demonstrated experience in identification and resolution of technical problems in a professional environment.
9. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with clinical teams.
10. Ability to attain, maintain and apply a working knowledge of applicable procedural documents.
11. Demonstrated positive attitude, enthusiasm toward work, and the ability to work well with others.
