THE OPPORTUNITY

As part of our continued investment in Ireland, KKR is launching a Technology & Engineering Centre of Excellence in Dublin. This new hub will play a central role in building the world's first technology platform engineered to manage over one trillion dollars in alternative AUM (assets under management.) Designed from the ground up for scale, security and speed, this is the infrastructure for the future of global finance. Areas of focus include investment technology, portfolio construction and management, liquidity solutions, risk analytics, and advanced data platforms.

THE ROLE

KKR is looking to add a talented UI Engineer to its rapidly growing Technology team. Our agile team is responsible for delivering solutions to aid in driving our world class Portfolio Management and Business Operations teams through investment strategy, portfolio management and operations. You'll work on a cloud-native tech stack of micro services leveraging Kubernetes and modern approaches to CI/CD. We primarily use React on the frontend as well as Python on the backend. As an Engineer, you will help further the standard for engineering excellence not only on the team but across the entire organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Write and review code, and deploy systemsthat support the business
- Participate in UX & UI application design and architecture reviews
- Engage in an agile, iterative software development process
- Collaborate closely with business, product and engineering stakeholders
- Break down complex problems into simple, creative, and effective solutions
- Build solutions for high availability, observability, and maintainability
- Provide support for the platform

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- 2+ years of software engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field (Engineering/Mathematics/Computer Science)
- Knowledge of an object-oriented programming language with a proven track record of delivering high-quality data applications
- Experience designing & building data-rich web applications with a strong eye for UX and intuitive functionality
- Interest in finance, hard-working and eager to learn in a fast-paced, innovative commercial environment
- Strong communication skills for interacting with stakeholders.
- Ability to think strategically and act tactically with exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated curiosity, analytical skills, and resourcefulness with a proven record of ownership and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
