Temp Social Care Project Worker - Galway/ Roscommon/ Mayo - €50k - €60k DOE: FRS Recruitment is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Project Worker to join a well-established addiction service across the Galway, Roscommon and Mayo locations. The aim of this service is to provide an individualised programme of support and therapeutic intervention, preventative and rehabilitation services to the services users in order to assist them to meet their needs in an accountable and accessible manner. A harm minimisation approach is used in these services. These positions are offered on a full-time temporary/agency basis. In your new role you will: Provide a range of supports to people with alcohol and other drugs related problems using the principles outlined in the National Drug Rehabilitation Framework. Develop effective working relationships with a variety of professionals in other agencies, health, social services, and education. Implement service plan and business plan objectives within area of responsibility and ensure that reports, archives, and records are accurate, maintained confidentially and readily available to the appropriate authority. Maintain a good understanding of internal and external factors that can affect service delivery including awareness of local and national issues that impact on own area. Have a working knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards and other standards as they apply to the role for example, Standards for Healthcare, National Standards for the Prevention and Control of Healthcare Associated Infections, Hygiene Standards etc. and comply with associated HSE protocols for implementing and maintaining these standards. You will also engage in drug and alcohol education and prevention work as required. To be a successful candidate you will have: A minimum QQI Level 6 in Social Care or related field or have satisfactory experience as a Clerical Officer in the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies, or a body which provides services on behalf of the HSE under Section 38 of the Health Act 2004. The requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and management ability, for the proper discharge of the office. A full clean driver's licence.
