Location: Suncroft Lodge Nursing Home, Co. Kildare (just outside The Curragh) We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our 70-bed home. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven leader with strong clinical skills, a positive disposition, and the ability to inspire a dedicated team of Nurses, Carers, Catering, Housekeeping, and Administration staff. Our goal is to deliver safe, person-centred, high-quality care to our residents in line with HIQA standards and the Health Act 2007 regulations, in the beautiful setting of Suncroft Lodge. Key Requirements Professional Registration Registered Nurse with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) Minimum 3 years post-registration experience in care of the older person At least 3 years in a nursing management role, ideally within a nursing home or long-term care setting Education Minimum Level 8 qualification (Ordinary Bachelors Degree or higher) in Nursing or a related healthcare field Postgraduate qualification in Nursing Management, Gerontology, Healthcare Leadership, or Healthcare Management (strongly preferred) Skills & Attributes Strong leadership, problem-solving, and crisis management abilities Demonstrated empathy, integrity, and respect in all interactions Confidence in safeguarding, complaints handling, and incident investigation Important Notice for Candidates Job scams are on the rise.
