Overview
Medforce are seeking a Senior Physiotherapist to join a well-established Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) based in Carlow . This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist to contribute to a family-centred, interdisciplinary team providing high-quality services to children and young people (0–18 years) with complex disabilities and developmental needs.
Role Overview
As a Senior Physiotherapist , you will deliver advanced clinical care, assessments, and interventions that promote functional independence and participation in daily life for children with a range of physical, neurological, and developmental conditions.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Physiotherapist
Provide physiotherapy assessments and evidence-based interventions for children with complex needs
Develop individualised care plans in partnership with children, families, and other professionals
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including OTs, SLTs, psychologists, and social workers
Supervise and support junior physiotherapists and students
Participate in family-centred planning, service reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices within the CDNT
Requirements for the Senior Physiotherapist
A recognised qualification in Physiotherapy
CORU registration as a Physiotherapist (essential)
Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience , with at least 1 year in a paediatric or disability setting
Proven clinical expertise in managing children with developmental, neurological, and physical disabilities
Excellent communication, leadership, and team collaboration skills
A flexible, family-centred, and inclusive approach to care
Desirable
Postgraduate training in paediatrics, neurodevelopment, postural management, or related areas
Previous experience working in a CDNT or early intervention setting
Experience in equipment provision and orthotics
