The Role

We are seeking a driven & ambitious Technical Analyst to join our Digital Platforms Team.

- The role presents an exciting and challenging opportunity to an experienced Technical Analyst/Delivery SME who wants to work in a dynamic fast paced workplace environment with a real opportunity to help define and deliver on a key strategic mobile transformation program through best in class design thinking and practices.
- You will be analysing complex issues and understanding business requirements in order to help build solutions, a key focus of the role being on data eventing.
- Experience in event driven applications with low latency and high throughput in a hybrid cloud environment is an advantage.
- Being ‘agile for the Customer’ is our delivery ethos, and using a mixture of methodologies you will work with internal IT Specialists and our client’s strategic (product & technology) partners through all phases of the Delivery Framework (Discover, Define, Design, Deliver, Deploy and Operate).

Skills:

- A solid understanding of application, eventing, infrastructure and integration technologies. Best practices in design patterns, software development and service management.
- Strong understanding of event driven architectures and event streaming approaches including best practices for scaling, fault tolerance and ensuring data consistency in distributed systems.
- Can engage & influence business & IT stakeholders in the refinement of technical requirements.
- Can complete the detailed technical analysis of “as-is” and the design of “to-be” designs.
- Will work within our Digital Platforms team and the wider Eco-System teams and stakeholder groups to ensure change is delivered with minimize service risk & optimize delivery.
- Support the delivery of changes within the overall roadmap of the mobile programme, engaging commitment from development, infrastructure, operations teams and delivery partners, product vendors and implementation teams.
- Drives continuous improvements to the delivery process via automation and adoption of best practices from industry.

You will need to show us that you have:

- 5+ years enterprise technology and change experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Broad understanding of Application, Information and Infrastructure technologies & practices.
- Experienced in working collaboratively with IT partners (nearshore and offshore).
- Good negotiation skills with ability to build productive working relationships with internal teams, management staff and external stakeholders.
