Job Purpose: This hybrid role combines business development and product development responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to: Business Development - Identify and pursue new business opportunities in existing and emerging sectors. - Develop and execute strategies to grow market share and meet revenue targets across Ireland. - Build strong relationships with contractors, engineers, consultants, and procurement teams. - Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums. - Deliver compelling technical and commercial presentations to prospective clients. - Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and other internal teams to tailor customer solutions. - Track and analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions. - Maintain accurate reporting on sales performance, opportunities, and market intelligence. - Support bid and tender submissions, contract negotiations, and long-term account development. - Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue. Product Development - Lead the research and introduction of new products aligned with market needs and sustainability goals. - Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to expand and optimise the product portfolio. - Monitor customer feedback, compliance requirements, and innovation trends to guide development. - Conduct competitor analysis and identify opportunities for differentiation. - Oversee product testing, certifications, and compliance documentation in collaboration with technical teams. - Validate assumptions, test hypotheses, and iterate based on market feedback and performance data. - Promote best practices in product management across the organisation and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline (preferred). - Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, technical sales, or product management. - Proven B2B sales success, preferably within insulation, HVAC, cleanroom, or construction sectors. - Strong understanding of technical products and the Irish construction market. - Demonstrated experience in product sourcing, launch, and portfolio growth. Skills & Competencies - Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. - Strong commercial awareness and a results-driven approach. - Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities. - Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights. - High level of integrity, drive, and initiative. - Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools. - Full, clean driving licence with flexibility to travel to client sites.
