Health and Safety Manager Limerick A leading manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join its team in Limerick on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving a strong safety culture across a complex industrial site. The position reports directly to the Plant Manager and will play a central role in ensuring full compliance with all health, safety, and welfare standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and promote safety awareness, engagement, and continuous improvement across the site. Monitor compliance through regular safety audits and inspections. Advise management on actions to minimise occupational risks. Maintain and report on safety KPIs and performance metrics. Develop and implement accident reduction and prevention programs. Create and deliver annual safety initiatives and training programs. Investigate incidents and oversee corrective and preventive actions. Ensure compliance with company life-saving rules and external regulatory requirements. Liaise with external agencies (e.g. HSA) and internal stakeholders on all safety matters. Manage site inductions for employees, contractors, and visitors. Coordinate statutory inspections and maintain relevant documentation. What Youll Bring: Degree in a relevant discipline plus a recognised Health & Safety qualification or diploma. Minimum 5 years experience in a similar H&S management role within manufacturing, quarrying, or heavy industry. Strong understanding of industrial processes and safety systems. Proven experience with ISO 45001 implementation and auditing. Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills. Confident IT user with strong reporting and presentation skills.
