Reinsurance Finance Manager
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Type: Full-time, Permanent | Hybrid role
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, you’ll lead a team managing the financial operations for a portfolio of complex reinsurance transactions. You’ll ensure financial integrity, compliance, and continuous process improvement while fostering collaboration across functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly accounts, ensuring compliance with local and group reporting standards.
- Oversee GL balances, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
- Support statutory and regulatory reporting to the Central Bank of Ireland and CSO.
- Manage relationships with auditors, brokers, and clients.
- Establish accounting processes for new transactions and maintain robust documentation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance team members.
- Drive process improvements and contribute to cross-functional projects.
What You’ll Bring
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CAI) with 4+ years’ post-qualification experience in insurance/reinsurance or financial services.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with IFRS (IFRS 17 an advantage) and accounting systems (SAP preferred).
- Confident leader, adaptable, and collaborative.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
