Your Role:

Reporting to the Chief Data Strategist, your key areas of responsibility will be as follows:

- Work alongside key stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver reports, dashboards and visualisations using Power BI.
- Enhance and improve existing reports and dashboards.
- Develop a full understanding of relevant data and the business processes that generate it.
- Evaluate and document business requirements, ensuring that the proposed solutions are reconciled with all business inputs.
- Gather business requirements using interviews, workshops, documentation reviews, business analysis and business process evaluations.
- Understand, validate and test business requirements with the available data.
- Document, design and build impactful and easily adopted dashboards.
- Establish standards and principles for the design of high-value Dashboards and Visualisations.
- Provide technical recommendations and direction on the development and implementation of reports & dashboards in adherence with the standards.
- Utilise data, visualisations and Power BI dashboard capabilities to deliver effective and compelling enterprise quality reporting outputs.
- Communicate complex data insights in a clear and compelling way, using visualisation, charts, and other storytelling techniques.
- Continuously monitor and improve the performance of Power BI solutions.
- Keep up-to-date with new features and updates in Power BI and related technologies.
- Stay informed about the latest data visualisation and storytelling techniques and tools.

The role will be Dublin-based, in a flexible working environment, with a mix of remote working from home, working from our offices in Dun Laoghaire and some onsite work at customer sites.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential experience/knowledge:

- Educated to degree level (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years experience in delivery of Business Intelligence reporting, dashboards and visualisations using Power BI.
- Understanding of SQL and data warehousing.
- Hands-on experience working with enterprise database technologies including some of the following: Snowflake, SQL Server, Teradata, and Oracle.
- Be an effective communicator, both spoken and written.
- Demonstrate experience in gathering requirements and converting them into high-impact and practical dashboards.
- Strong planning and organisation skills, ability to plan and prioritise work schedules and work within agreed timescales.
- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities with a specific ability to express ideas clearly and concisely - verbally and in writing – with a view to engaging and influencing.
- Minimum 2 years experience working with Cloud Modern Data Platforms.
- Demonstrated previous Consulting experience at a consulting or professional services firm is a distinct advantage.
