Vendor Management Analyst We are the people behind Ireland’s electricity grid. We operate the power system with world leading levels of variable asynchronous renewable generation, ensuring that everyone has power when they need it. But that’s not all, we are now transforming the power system for future generations.
And that’s just the beginning of our story. We have a critical purpose. That purpose is to transform the power system to enable our society to reduce our carbon emissions and meet our climate change and net zero ambitions.
Job Purpose
We are seeking a Vendor Management Analyst to support the Group Lead Vendor Manager in the day-to-day management and governance of EirGrid’s critical vendor ecosystem. This role contributes to the effective monitoring, performance assessment, and strategic oversight of vendors across the Group, ensuring that third-party relationships are delivering value, remain compliant, and align with EirGrid’s operational and regulatory obligations.
The successful candidate will support cross-functional collaboration with departments such as Procurement, Legal, Cybersecurity, IT, Operations, and Finance, and contribute to the continuous improvement of EirGrid’s vendor governance framework.
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Governance & Performance Monitoring
Support the rollout and application of EirGrid’s Vendor Management Framework and processes across all business units.
Monitor and report on vendor performance using service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and balanced scorecards.
Risk, Compliance & Assurance
Assist in the management of vendor risk assessments, including due diligence on financial, operational, and cybersecurity risks.
Ensure vendors adhere to contractual obligations and compliance requirements, including GDPR, health & safety, and EirGrid Group policies.
Support audit processes and regulatory reporting where third-party relationships are in scope.
Contract & Lifecycle Management
Monitor key contract dates such as renewals, expirations, and obligations to ensure timely action and compliance.
Collaborate with Procurement and Legal teams to support contract change processes, service reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Data Management & Reporting
Maintain up-to-date vendor information in internal databases and systems (e.g., ERP, vendor dashboards).
Generate regular and ad hoc reports on vendor performance, spend, and risk to support strategic decision-making.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Build relationships with internal contract owners and business units to support vendor engagement and accountability.
Identify opportunities to improve vendor management processes, templates, and governance structures.
About You
A primary degree in Business, Supply Chain, Law, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in vendor management, procurement, contract management, or supplier governance.
Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency in ERP usage, Microsoft Excel and/or Power BI for reporting and data analysis.
