Senior Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities:

- Conduct assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans.
- Provide direct therapy to residents, including individual and group sessions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support holistic care for residents.
- Educate and train nursing staff and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Participate in case conferences and contribute to residents' care plans.

Requirements:

- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy required.
- Registration with CORU is mandatory.
- Full driving license and access to own car is desirable.
- Experience with older people in both communication and EDS.
- Resident in Ireland and legal right to work in Ireland without restriction.
- All candidates will be required to undergo Garda Vetting.
- Candidates who have lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months over the age of 16 will be required to produce International Police Clearance. Failure to have this document during the initial recruitment stages will result in an unsuccessful application.
