Maintenance Technician

Were currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with an award-winning Medical Device organization based in Roscommon. This is an excellent position for anyone who is looking to join a leading multinational who are one of the best at what they do ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with Engineers in developing, trouble shooting, standardising and improving existing production processes and procedures. Assist Engineers in investigating and implementing new production methods. Assist Engineers in design methods, part sourcing and documentation. Design, specify, manufacture, test and document production equipment, changes and improvements. Interface with a variety of internal personnel and with outside vendors as necessary while performing the above. Take responsibility for preventative maintenance procedures with an assigned process or area. Communicate any concerns about work process regarding environmental impact, health or safety issues to their Manager. Set up equipment and facilitate changeover. Calibrate equipment. Perform scheduled PMs. Change injection moulds as required. Implement process improvements Support projects as required. Ensure environmental impact of all operations is considered in relation to purchasing, waste management, recycling and energy. Conform to the requirements of the quality and environmental management system. Undertake ad hoc duties and projects as required. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: The ideal candidate should be a qualified fitter, toolmaker, and electrician or hold a mechatronic qualification. Previous experience of working in a dynamic cleanroom manufacturing environment preferably in the medical device area is desirable. Experience should include changeovers and troubleshooting on injection moulding, Multivac packaging, extrusion blow moulding, running automated lines a ultrasonic welding. Experience of completing maintenance tasks on a range of equipment.
