Morgan McKinley is proud to be partnering exclusively with a leading client in the logistics and distribution sector to recruit a Senior Transport Planner for their Cork-based operation.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and fast-paced organisation, playing a key role in managing and optimising daily transport operations across a fleet of 15 vehicles. You'll be at the heart of a collaborative and high-performing logistics team, ensuring smooth, compliant, and cost-effective delivery operations nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute daily transport plans for a fleet of 15 vehicles

- Ensure route efficiency and delivery performance to meet customer SLAs

- Collaborate closely with drivers, warehouse, customer service, and external partners

- Maintain compliance with all road transport legislation and driver regulations

- Manage and update data within the Transport Management System (TMS)

- Monitor vehicle utilisation, fuel efficiency, and operational KPIs

- Coordinate fleet servicing and maintenance schedules

- Generate performance reports and support continuous improvement initiatives

- Act as a key point of contact for customer delivery issues and escalations

Candidate Profile

- 3-5 years' experience in a transport planning or logistics coordination role

- Strong working knowledge of driver hours, fleet compliance, and route optimisation

- Proficiency in TMS platforms (e.g. Stratum, Paragon) and ERP systems (SAP advantageous)

- Advanced Excel and reporting skills

- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities

- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities

- CPC certification is desirable but not essential
