Maintenance Manager

Our Client in the Co Wicklow area has a requirement for a Maintenance Manager to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. Contact Conor O’Hagan for more details.

The Role:

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Maintenance Manager will have full responsibility for all engineering on site.

Duties include:

1. Ensure there is a system in place for a structured maintenance program of all machinery, tooling and utilities and preventative maintenance schedules are followed and completed.
2. Ensure the training and development program for Maintenance / Electrical Engineers and Apprentices is implemented effectively.
3. Support the roll out of skills development programme in the Engineering department.
4. Weekly reporting on team KPIs identifying and addressing key issues.
5. Provision of technical support and general maintenance of the site.
6. Identifying process improvement opportunities to improve machine availability & efficiency.
7. To ensure continuous operation of all factory utility systems.
8. Ensure capital investment programmes within the engineering function are fully researched and delivered on time and within budget.
9. Manage the engineering department operating expense budget and ensure high standards of management regarding spare parts and inventory.
10. Adherence to Company policies & procedures and ensure health & safety practices are followed.
11. To plan, coordinate and monitor workplace activities for Maintenance / Electrical engineers and apprentices.

The Person:

1. Engineering Qualification.
2. At least 3 years relevant experience managing an Engineering / Maintenance department.
3. Strong People management skills.
4. Lean manufacturing experience.
