About The Role
CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two-component security product. The sensor component is a driver installed on client machines that observes system activity, recognizes malicious behavior, provides on-box prevention, and sends remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The sensor processes thousands of events per second to give deep visibility into endpoint operations and to identify and block malicious activity. The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry and presents customers with a prioritized view of detected threats.
This is a Software Development Engineer role in the engineering team delivering the sensor on Linux . SDEs own design, development and testing of core features on the platform, which cross-cut core OS subsystems such as file system, memory, process and networking. Features are designed to be shareable across Windows and Mac. The team operates under Agile development principles and ships frequently.

What You’ll Do
Design and develop Linux software for deployment on customer endpoints
Own features from design to delivery
Collaborate with multi-functional teams in various locations
Troubleshoot and resolve customer-reported issues
Work on other projects as assigned
What You’ll Need
Ability to develop high-quality code in C/C++ and demonstrate capability through job experience, schoolwork, or community projects
Minimum 5 years of production experience on Linux or Unix developing product code with:
High concurrency requirements with strong multi-threading
High reliability requirements
Detailed requirements on low-level operating characteristics (memory usage, efficient performance, adherence to external standards)
Experience shipping major features and releases as part of a team
Strong communication and collaboration skills in a distributed team
