Advanced Nurse Practitioner for a Virtual Command Centre in Dublin.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced nurse with a passion for emergency medicine to work as part of a new and exciting initiative.

The ideal candidate should be/have:

- Registered with NMBI on the Advanced Registered Practice Nurse Division of the register
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience working in an acute care setting
- Experience taking clinical accountability for acute care patients from units such as EDs, Minor Injury Units, acute medical units, etc.
- Competent to manage your own acute care caseload of patients with remote support from an ED consultant
- Telemedicine/Virtual care experience (Desirable)

Responsibilities:

- Conduct virtual patient consultations using video conferencing or telephonic means
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses
- Prescribe medications and other treatment modalities
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays
- Provide patient education about illness prevention, disease management, and health promotion
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Document patient care using electronic medical records
- Refer patients to appropriate specialists when necessary
- Hold clinical responsibility for managing and discharging patients from the remote observation unit
