The Position
We have an opportunity for a Graduate to join our team for a 2-year programme, working within the Packaging department of our Manufacturing function and rotating to key relevant areas. The successful candidate will be developed and mentored to aid on-the-job learning.

The Packaging department in Gilead Cork is a fast-paced environment that performs both primary and secondary packaging activities to meet patient needs. Primary packaging involves bottle and blister packaging; secondary packaging covers bottles, vials and blister presentations into cartons as a finished good. Technology includes track-and-trace (anti-counterfeiting), high automation and vision systems, with a focus on process optimisation, operational excellence and data analytics. The department interacts with all other site departments and our distribution center in Dublin. This role covers Engineering and Operations activities and offers opportunities to work with Engineering, Quality, Automation, Validation & Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities

Develop experience in and support areas across Operations, cGMP, process and mechanical engineering, serialization and aggregation, data analytics, problem solving, packaging engineering and material sciences.

Provide support to operational areas.

Support projects as required.

Identify and support operational excellence activities.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

A minimum 2.1 level 8 degree in a related area such as Science, Mechanical, Material, Packaging or Chemical Engineering.

Good problem solving and attention to detail.

Highly adaptable with initiative.

Strong communication, teamwork and ability to build effective relationships.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
