Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available The role We're looking for a Data Engineer who will play a key role in designing, building and optimizing data products across customer, commercial, financial, sales and operational areas. This role focuses on refining data into high-quality, reliable datasets that power analytics, machine learning, and decision-making across the business. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts and product teams to automate workflows, improve data performance within our cloud ecosystem. You will Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to gather and shape business problems into delivery-ready scope for data assets (datasets, data/analytics pipelines, data catalogue etc). Design and build high-quality, production-ready data assets to fulfil requirements of future data products and the reporting needs of our stakeholders Implement data engineering and data governance frameworks and use DevOps practices for collaborative version control Support day to day delivery of data cataloguing, metadata management and development and maintenance of key data quality metrics as required to ensure data governance and data quality requirements and timelines are met. Support root cause analysis of data anomalies. You have A degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Applied Science, Engineering, Mathematics etc) or equivalent. Demonstrable experience in a data engineering or data analytics role, post qualification. Proven hands-on expertise with Python and SQL for data manipulation and a good understanding of core data modelling principles. Experience working in cloud-based analytics platforms, ideally Databricks. Great attention to detail and with the ability to create effective documentation and process diagrams for your data assets.
