Rosie & Jim produce a wide range of healthy, great tasting, breaded chicken products for Food Service and Retail sectors within Irish, UK and European markets. A factory expansion is underway that will triple production capacity to meet growing demand in our domestic and export markets. Innovation is our key strength. Our focus is on further developing the Rosie & Jim brand as the go-to range for discerning consumers seeking convenient food solutions made from clean label natural ingredients.
The role
We are seeking an experienced hands-on Engineer/Manager (70% tools / 30% desk) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Management of CMMS, Planned Preventative Maintenance completed to schedule etc
Management of external contractors (refrigeration, electrical, mechanical)
Management of small in-house team totalling 2 to 3 persons. Strong external contractor support.
Ordering and managing spare parts inventory
Respond to emergency breakdowns as needed
Strong awareness of Health & Safety requirements
Supportive of LEAN & Continuous Improvement culture
Work with all departments on BRC accreditation requirements
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, assertive, and work on their own initiative, with a solutions-driven approach. They will have experience in the further processing food environment, ideally with breading/coating machinery, in-line fryer and spiral freezer, weighing, bag and tray packing.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 3-year post apprenticeship experience in Food Manufacture
Has held some level of management position
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Basic computer literacy
