This role combines technical expertise in data modelling and visualisation with leadership skills to guide a team of BI developers, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive data-driven decision-making across the organisation. The ideal candidate will possess deep experience in Power BI, data integration, and analytics, as well as the ability to mentor and inspire ateam.**Roles and Responsibilities:*** Lead and mentor a team of Power BI developers, providing technical guidance and* fostering professional growth* Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand data* needs, and translate business objectives into actionable BI solutions.* Design, develop, deploy and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data* models using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.* Integrate data from multiple sources (SQL, Excel, cloud platforms, APIs, ADO) and* ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.* Optimize performance of BI solutions, including data models, DAX queries, and* report rendering for scalability and responsiveness.* Establish and enforce best practices for data visualization, report design, and* documentation within the BI team.* Provide end-user training and support, troubleshooting issues and ensuring* adoption of BI solutions across the organization.* Stay current with Power BI features and industry trends, proactively* recommending enhancements and new capabilities.* Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and security standards**Skills and Attributes:*** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or* related field.* 10 years of relevant work experience with 5 years experience in Power BI* development, including dashboard/report creation, DAX, and Power Query.* Proven experience leading BI or analytics teams.* Strong proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and integrating data from* diverse sources.* Advanced knowledge of SQL, Excel, and other data management tools.* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with both* technical and non-technical stakeholders.* Experience with Power BI Service, Power BI Report Server, and deployment best* practices.
