We are presently recruiting a Chemistry Laboratory Manager for our clients in County Kerry. You will hold 5 years’ experience and will work closely with the Chief Scientific Officer to mentor, advise, and train all analysts and develop a team of innovative scientists and to ensure that ISO 17025 standards are met across compliance and impartiality. This is a full-time, permanent position based in County Kerry.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage the Chemistry Laboratory
2. Deliver excellent service to customers in accordance with INAB, ISO17025 standards and the management system
3. Provide technical direction, support and advice in relation to Chemistry as a particular area of analytical expertise
4. Manage team workloads across multiple projects with competing priorities and resources
5. Develop, implement and monitor new projects
6. Perform SOP review & write-up
7. Plan & execute PT testing
8. Conduct internal audits, QC checks, equipment maintenance & calibration, result entry & validation
9. Discuss test results with customers

Qualifications & experiences:

1. A BSc/MSc in chemistry or other relevant disciplines is essential
2. A minimum of 5 years of industry experience in a commercial laboratory
3. In-depth knowledge of ISO 17025

Salary is based on experience and in the region of €50 – €60,000.
