Responsibilities:

1. Manage and execute projects throughout project life cycle from initiation to closeout.
2. Management of the project stage-gates from agreement of URS's, through design, procurement, implementation, commissioning and handover into production, while maintaining budgets and schedules agreed.
3. Project execution will focus on safety, schedule, and budget adherence while complying with good engineering practices, company policies, regulations, and codes.
4. Contractor/Vendor management, project schedule management and schedule development.
5. Ensure that all work is completed to the relevant professional and statutory standards.
6. Risk management and action plans to mitigate risk.
7. Strict adherence to safe working practices as set out in the safety statement and other company safety rules.
8. Understanding of Environmental Health & Safety Requirements onsite.
9. Manage all phases of projects - Projects are predominantly heavy mechanical engineering projects.
10. Develop project concepts and present to site management for discussion and evaluation.
11. Work with equipment suppliers on detailed equipment layout design, considering current and future requirements.
12. Prepare, issue, and evaluate tender packs for the various work packages.

Qualifications:

1. Degree certified in Mechanical Engineering.
2. 3+ years' Project Engineering experience.
3. AutoCAD experience.
4. Proven ability to manage projects.
5. Have good attention to detail.
6. Ambitious and able to work to your own initiative.
7. Strong communicator with the ability to engage at all levels.
8. Keen learner and goal orientated, with the desire to work proactively.
9. Organisation from project teams to site leadership team.
10. Execution/adherence – demonstrated record of on time delivery.
11. Demonstrable record of delivering right first-time handover of documentation.
12. Experience of working on projects under PSDP / PSCS conditions.
