Person In Charge

This post is a full-time position of 37.5 hours and the successful candidate will be based in Kilmallock, Limerick.
The successful candidates will have:
- A degree in Applied Social Studies/Social Care or relevant qualification or eligible for CORU registration or be CORU Registered.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience with adults/children with intellectual disabilities.
- Proven managerial skills with a minimum of three years' experience at a management level and an appropriate management qualification of a minimum of a QQI level 6.
- The ability to work on his/her own initiative and supervise service users/staff in a residential setting.
- Experience of managing residential budgets.
- Experience in managing behaviours that challenge.
- Good organisation and communications skills.
- Full manual driving license.
The successful candidate will:
- Ensure the service users' needs are being met
- Teach the service users necessary daily living and social skills through daily activities.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with the service users.
- Engage in activities and complete household tasks.
- Keep accurate record of service user's documentation.
- And complete other tasks that may be required as part of their role.
