Join a forward-thinking manufacturing group as their IT Systems Lead / Senior Systems Engineer, ensuring the smooth operations of the main manufacturing site in Ireland & Head Office functions. We are seeking a hands-on Senior IT Systems Specialist or IT Systems Manager to support all IT systems & applications used in running of the Ireland Manufacturing Operations. Reporting into the Group IT Director, this role requires a Senior IT Systems Engineer / IT Lead who is both hands-on and interested in learning business management / operations management within a leading manufacturing organisation in the Industrial & Healthcare sectors. You will be asked to provide IT systems operational support & drive innovation, security and operational excellence across Ireland production sites. This is a hands-on, high-impact role suitable for a hands-on IT Systems Professional, offering the chance to shape technology strategy, deliver business-critical solutions and maintain high availability systems, providing hands-on support across all IT systems - Multi VLAN environment with VMware, Windows server administration, Network (Fortinet), MES/ERP and EUC support to all users in Ireland. You will lead 1 IT systems support resource & will be expected to provide all levels of systems support to users within our Ireland operations. Key Responsibilities: Your role will take responsibility for the IT landscape in Ireland Manufacturing - Infrastructure & Systems Administration, ERP, Automation & Data / Reporting systems: Configure, administer and maintain VMware hosts in a high-availability environment Manage Windows Servers, Active Directory, Office 365, Entra ID and multi-VLAN networks Provide IT user support / help desk support and all EUC monitoring & troubleshooting Apply ITIL, Cybersecurity, compliance & Risk Management practices, with a particular focus on Cyber Essentials across the Supply Chain & Production environment ERP / MES applications, systems & processes Identify and deliver automation opportunities across IT and business workflows Build reports and dashboards (Crystal, Excel, Power BI, ERP-native tools) to support data-driven decisions Manage and mentor a small IT team (1 other IT Support Eng) Collaborate with business stakeholders to align IT initiatives with strategic growth plans Expertise & essential skillsets required: All-round Experiene in supporting IT systems in a Manufacturing, Industrial / Production environment 5+ years in IT system administration or IT Systems Leader / management within a fast-paced (manufacturing or Industrial) environment Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, M365, Entra ID, Intune and networking Strong knowledge of business processes and ERP applications, databases, reporting tools, IT governance, automation & process standardisation Strong communicator, able to translate complex IT topics into clear business value. Customer-service mindset with excellent prioritisation and project management skills Desirable: ITIL, Microsoft or VMware certifications, Networking (any vendor) Please note that EU/EEA/UK citizens or current, valid full working visa holders in Ireland only need apply.
