We are working with a leading environmental consultancy based in Dublin, dedicated to delivering innovative, science-based solutions supporting sustainable development and environmental stewardship.

Their multidisciplinary team works across public and private sectors on complex projects shaping the future of infrastructure, energy, and natural resource management.

Role Summary

ATG seeks an experienced and proactive Senior Environmental Consultant to lead environmental assessments, regulatory compliance projects, and sustainability initiatives. You will support project delivery, business development, and team mentoring, ensuring high-quality outcomes for clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the preparation and delivery of EIAs, SEAs, and related reports.
2. Provide expert advice on environmental legislation, permitting, and regulatory compliance within Irish and EU contexts.
3. Conduct site assessments, environmental audits, and risk evaluations.
4. Manage environmental inputs on infrastructure, construction, energy, or land development projects.
5. Liaise with clients, regulators, stakeholders, and project teams.
6. Mentor and support junior staff development.
7. Contribute to business development through proposals, client engagement, and opportunity identification.
8. Stay updated on environmental law, policy, and best practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 6–8 years of experience in environmental consultancy or related areas.
- Strong knowledge of Irish and EU environmental regulations and permitting.
- Experience managing EIAs, SEAs, and environmental due diligence projects.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience with stakeholder engagement and public consultation.
- Strong project management and team leadership skills.
- Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) or working towards chartership.
- Experience with GIS and environmental modelling software.
- Knowledge of climate risk assessments and sustainability reporting.
- Understanding of circular economy, biodiversity net gain, or natural capital assessments.
