About the Role

The Tax Associate/Senior Tax Associate role is an excellent progression opportunity for experienced tax consultants ready to take on more responsibilities. This position is ideal for individuals looking to step into a leadership role within the team, with the potential to move into management-level positions in the future.

You will guide junior associates, support complex client cases, and ensure the delivery of high-quality service to our clients.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead client engagements, assessing projects eligible for R&D claims across various industries.
  • Draft and review complex financial and technical reports for HMRC submissions.
  • Mentor and guide junior R&D Tax Associates.
  • Collaborate closely with managers and directors to support the firm's strategic goals.
  • Manage client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for significant accounts.
  • Use tools like Salesforce for efficient project and client management.
  • Continuously improve your knowledge of R&D tax credits.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities for clients to maximise their R&D claims.
Your Experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in client-facing roles.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and clients independently, demonstrating leadership and organisational skills.
  • Strong mentoring abilities, with a passion for helping junior team members grow.
  • In-depth knowledge of R&D tax relief legislation and its practical applications.
  • Comfortable engaging with clients at all levels, representing CBTax with professionalism and confidence.
