Financial Controller Location: Dublin City Centre (On-site) Reports to: General Manager / Executive Committee Direct Reports: 2 (Finance Team) A prestigious and well-established sports club, based close to Dublin City Centre, is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance function. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, team management, and ensuring robust financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, and statutory reporting. Lead and support a finance team of two, ensuring accurate and timely month-end close and financial reporting. Maintain strong financial controls. Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships. Provide strategic financial insight to the General Manager and Executive Committee to support key decision-making. Review and improve internal financial processes and systems where necessary. Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders as required. Requirements: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). 5+ years post-qualified experience in a senior finance role, ideally as Financial Controller or Finance Manager. Previous experience managing small finance teams and working in a hands-on role. Strong knowledge of financial controls, reporting, and budgeting processes. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience in the hospitality or membership-based sectors is an advantage but not essential.
