We are looking for a Solar Engineer to join a leading provider of solar energy solutions in Ireland. You will be responsible for conducting site surveys, assessing project feasibility, providing technical support, managing installations, and ensuring optimal system performance. Location: Shannon, Key Responsibilities: Site Surveys & Assessments Conduct on-site surveys to evaluate the feasibility of solar PV installations. Assess roof conditions, shading, structural suitability, and solar potential. Determine the optimal placement and configuration of solar panels for maximum efficiency. System Design & Feasibility Analysis Develop technical and financial feasibility assessments for solar projects. Work with sales and project teams to design tailored solar energy solutions. Use solar simulation software to generate performance estimates and ROI reports. Installation & Technical Support Assist with the design, sizing, and integration of solar PV systems. Provide technical guidance to the installation team and troubleshoot issues. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices. Project Management Oversee solar energy projects from planning to execution. Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery. Monitor project progress, address risks, and implement solutions. After-Sales Support & Maintenance Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for installed systems. Monitor system performance and optimize efficiency where needed. Conduct site visits to assess and resolve post-installation concerns. Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate site survey reports, technical specifications, and project schedules. Keep detailed maintenance and troubleshooting records for future reference. Continuous Learning & Development Stay updated on solar technology advancements, industry trends, and regulatory changes. Participate in training programs to enhance expertise in renewable energy systems. Qualifications & Skills: Degree in Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience). Minimum 2 years of experience in solar PV system design, installation, or technical support. Strong knowledge of solar PV technology, inverters, battery storage, and energy systems. Experience using solar design and simulation software. Good computer skills for documentation and project management. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards. Full clean driving license (required).
