Enable Ireland is seeking a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist to join their Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT). Role Overview
As a Staff Grade Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for providing a range of high-quality occupational therapy services to children and young people (0–18 years) and their families. Working within a dynamic interdisciplinary framework, you will deliver assessments and interventions through a family-centred approach. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional growth, with structured supervision and continuous development. Your work will span various settings, including clinics, schools, homes, and the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage a caseload, providing assessments and interventions in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
- Take a key role in setting and achieving goals with service users and their families.
- Maintain high-quality clinical records and documentation in line with professional standards.
- Contribute to overall service planning and development.
- Communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including families and other agencies.
- Participate in mandatory training and continuous professional development.
- Act as a mandated person under the Children First National Guidelines, upholding the highest standards of professional and ethical practice.
- Promote a safe and inclusive working environment, supporting risk management and HIQA standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential Criteria:
- Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU AND
- Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
AND
- Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued
AND
- Be eligible to work in the state
- Valid driving licence for within the state / jurisdiction with access to own transfer in order to delivery services across a large geographical area
- On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU
- Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland
Desirable Criteria:
- Postgraduate experience of working with children and families in a community based setting.
- Postgraduate experience working in disability services for a minimum of 6 months
- Broad knowledge of the Progressing Disability Services for children and young people programme
- Experience of working on interdisciplinary teams
