Cpl Healthcare are delighted to partner with our client in the recruitment of a Social Care Leaders to join long-serving teams in residential services in Laois, including:
- Mainstream Children’s Residential Services
- Preparation for Leaving Care (PLC) Services
- Residential Services for Separated Children Seeking International Protection
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated professional to lead and support teams across diverse child-centred services, ensuring high standards of care and development for young people.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, supervise, and support teams across.
• Ensure the emotional, social, and educational needs of children and young people are met in line with individual care plans.
• Promote a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment, in compliance with HIQA standards, child protection policies, and safeguarding legislation.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of service provision across all settings.
• Support professional development, reflective practice, and continuous learning for care teams.
• Collaborate with the Registered Manager, external agencies, and families to deliver high-quality, holistic care.
Requirements
• A relevant qualification in Social Care, Youth Work, or a related discipline (minimum Level 7).
• Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in residential childcare.
• Significant experience in residential childcare, with exposure to mainstream, PLC, or SCSIP services desirable.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Knowledge of HIQA regulations, child protection, safeguarding, and best practice standards.
• Ability to work with young people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
