This is a key leadership role overseeing the performance and output of a third-party offshore team responsible for reinsurance operational processes including contract binding, cession reporting, collateral, and credit control. Based in Dublin City Centre, the role offers strong autonomy and visibility across the organisation, with a direct impact on service delivery, process improvement, and system change initiatives. You will lead a small onshore oversight team, while managing the day-to-day relationship with the offshore provider. The ideal candidate will bring excellent communication, stakeholder management, and operational oversight experience within a reinsurance or delegated authority setting. Your Role Manage and develop a small onshore team responsible for oversight of offshore operations Ensure high standards of data quality and timely processing of reinsurance-related transactions Act as the central point of contact for offshore queries and escalation Own and maintain operational SOPs and flow documentation Support process improvement efforts including workflow optimisation and training Partner with internal stakeholders across underwriting, finance, and systems teams on changes and projects Set and monitor KPIs to ensure strong performance from the BPO provider Participate in operational governance forums and lead service review meetings Maintain robust controls across outsourced functions Occasional travel may be required Your Skills 10+ years in insurance or reinsurance operations, ideally with delegated underwriting experience 5+ years in a leadership role with responsibility for offshore or outsourced teams Strong process mapping and documentation skills Comfortable leading process training and monitoring quality standards Solid Excel capabilities and experience with large data sets Ability to manage relationships cross-functionally with confidence and credibility Experience in reinsurance systems (e.g., SICS, WEBI) an advantage but not essential Should this position be of interest to you please call Tadhg at .
