SSA are recruiting a Junior Health & Safety Officer on behalf of a Main Contractor,to work across multiple sites in Galway. This is a permanent position.

About the company:

Our client is a respected Main Contractor who is highly renowned within the Construction and Industrial Services Sector. They have a vast array of ongoing and completed projects in construction, refurbishment, and maintenance throughout Galway.

About the role:

- Galway Based position

Your main duties will include, but not be limited to:

- Risk Assessments: Identify workplace hazards through risk assessments.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure the organisation complies with health and safety regulations.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and recommend preventive actions.
- Safety Training: Assist in employee safety training programs.
- Safety Inspections: Conduct regular workplace safety inspections.
- Safety Policies: Assist in creating and updating safety policies.
- Records Keeping: Maintain safety records and documentation.

To be successful in your application you will ideally possess the following;

- Relevant Qualification.
- Strong communication skills.
