Overview Excel Healthcare Recruitment is seeking a Supervising Pharmacist on behalf of a thriving, independent pharmacy in Limerick City. This is a leadership role in a warm, community-focused team, with opportunities to guide a pharmacy team while staying connected to patients and the local community.
Supervising Pharmacist - Key Responsibilities Ensure full compliance with all legal and professional requirements, including the Pharmacy Act 2007 & 2008.
Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring safe and efficient dispensing procedures are followed at all times.
Lead, mentor and support pharmacy staff, creating a collaborative and positive work environment.
Maintain a high standard of record keeping and hygiene in line with regulatory expectations.
Take the lead in overseeing monthly claims submissions for HSE schemes including DPS, LTI and GMS, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, providing expert guidance on prescription and over-the-counter medications.
Champion best practices in health and safety throughout the pharmacy.
What We're Looking For Must be a registered member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).
Previous experience in a supervising or senior pharmacy role preferred.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team and foster a supportive atmosphere.
Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organisational abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, community-based setting.

Hours: Full or Part Time
Contract: Permanent
