What you need to know
Matrix Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Senior Real Estate Accountant on behalf of our client, a leading global financial services company, based in Limerick.

This is a 12 month contract role with some possibility of other opportunities coming up at the end of the contract.

The role offers a hybrid working model.

Your new job
Key duties and responsibilities:

1. Assist in the preparation and review of net asset valuations (NAVs) and management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
2. Develop a strong understanding of fund accounting principles for real estate and infrastructure investments.
3. Collaborate with various internal departments, including legal, depositary, transfer agency, and company secretarial, to support fund operations.
4. Support the processing of property transactions and ensure compliance with approval procedures.
5. Manage operating expenses, ensuring timely payments and adherence to financial controls.
6. Drive excellence in client service, maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

What are we looking for?

1. Working towards or already holding a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
2. Experience in financial services, audit, or fund administration is advantageous.
3. Knowledge of Irish/UK GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory requirements.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with accounting software.
5. Strong communication and organisational skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
