Are you a Mixed Veterinary Surgeon looking for an exciting new opportunity? At Glenshane Veterinary Clinic, we have the perfect role for you Join our friendly, experienced team and enjoy a varied caseload across our Maghera, Kilrea, and Dungiven branches.
This role is ideal for a vet who thrives on diversity with 65% farm work (with some equine cases) and 35% companion animal care. You'll have the opportunity to build strong client relationships while working with a wide range of species.
A valid driving license is essential, as you will regularly be out and about visiting our farm clients.

At Glenshane, you'll be joining a team of six Veterinary Surgeons, including four with 20+ years of experience, backed by our fantastic Veterinary Nursing and Support team. We foster a welcoming and supportive environment where collaboration and growth are encouraged.
State-of-the-Art Facilities
Situated at the foot of the stunning Sperrin Mountains, our three branches are well-equipped to handle both farm and small animal cases. Our tools include easy scan, small animal ultrasound, IDEXX lab station, X-ray, endoscope, ECG, and more. We also have excellent kenneling and stabling facilities, a small ruminant operating table, and a horse stock.
From routine consults and soft tissue surgery to internal medicine, orthopaedics, and emergency care, no two days are the same.

Whether you are looking to flex your rota hours to balance the school holidays, fix to navigate the school runs or just looking to strike that balance between home and work life, we can offer flexibility that works for all team members.
The standard full-time vet rota consists of a 40-hour week, working 1 weekend in 4 with a long weekend off in lieu the following week. There is an OOH requirement to work 1 night per week on call, in the winter months and 1 night per week every fortnight in summer months. Although this is advertised as a full-time role, we are open to both full-time and part-time applications.

However, if you prefer the hustle and bustle of city life on your days off you're only 40 minutes from Derry or Belfast. With Belfast airport just 30 minutes away you have easy access to everything you need.
