Our client, a leading name in food manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Production Team Lead to join their team in East Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive leader with a background in manufacturing to take on a key role in supporting daily operations and driving quality, efficiency, and team performance.

The Role

As Production Team Lead, you will play a central role in the day-to-day management of the production floor. You will lead a team of operators, ensure high standards of product quality and safety, and support continuous improvement across operations.

Key Responsibilities

-

Supervise and support production staff to meet daily output targets

-

Ensure products are packed, labelled, and processed according to customer specifications and company standards

-

Monitor and reduce waste, rework, and inefficiencies

-

Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment

-

Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene procedures, including accurate documentation

-

Manage staff rotas and ensure adequate team coverage

-

Provide on-the-job training and support the development of team members

-

Input production data accurately into internal systems

-

Operate electric pallet trucks and forklifts (training provided)

What We Are Looking For

-

Minimum one year of supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment (food industry preferred)

-

Strong leadership and communication skills with a practical, hands-on approach

-

Working knowledge of food safety systems such as BRC, HACCP, or Safe and Legal standards

-

Comfortable with production systems and accurate documentation

-

Flexibility to work outside standard hours when needed
