Maintenance Technician - County Westmeath. In this role you will maintain all plant and equipment within the manufacturing facility, including carrying out preventative maintenance on all machinery and facility assets, by adopting a Total Productive Maintenance model. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and deliver on preventative maintenance to minimise downtime, increase efficiency and comply with auditory standards. Ensure work and equipment compliance, certification to all regulatory & statutory directives, standards and guidelines, including Health & Safety. Maintain building and facility services e.g. chillers, air handling units, compressors, heating, electrical & water services etc. to meet business needs. Troubleshoot and problem solve issues as they arise Support the activities of the EHS teams, leading by example and serving as a role model ensuring the highest standards of health and safety are adopted with the facilities and maintenance team. Support continuous improvement within the Maintenance department. Record all maintenance work performed Contribute to the drive to effectively manage spares, consumables and contracts in a timely and cost effective manner. Use of permit to work system or other safety systems to control engineering activitie Interested applicants should have a third-level engineering qualification or Electrical / Mechanical Trade qualification. Excellent technical knowledge as well as the ability to multitask Capable of troubleshooting technical issues Strong analytical approach to problem solving and ability to bring innovative solutions Excellent interpersonal & communication skills Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with peers and Managers Experience in maintaining detailed mechanical and electrical manufacturing building services including high volume manufacturing equipment. Injection moulding experience an advantage. Experience in the application and operation of Permit to Work systems. Skills: maintenance technician fitter electrician
