Principal Mixed Signal Verification Engineer

Infineon is a leader in automotive semiconductor innovation. We are building a new team in Cork to work on our Automotive Programmable System on Chip (PSoC) products for applications in battery management, smart sensing and human machine interfaces (HMI). We are looking for applications from candidates with analog design, digital design, digital verification, mixed signal verification, chip level integration, project management and ISO safety requirements experience. In this group you will be part of a small, agile team working together on taking customer requirements and implementing them into the next generation of Infineon automotive products. This team will work closely with and complement our existing experienced PSoC teams in the US, Japan and India. We are seeking ambitious, talented engineers who want to join our dynamic and experienced PSoC group and take their technical knowledge to the next level and be part of the next wave of PSoC development in Infineon.

In your new role you will:
- Understand analog and mixed-signal designs, work with spice or models to verify analog circuits with complex System Verilog (SV) based mixed-signal test benches
- Execute test plans; develop tests and debug test failures to fully verify mixed-signal designs
- Analyze and document simulation results, use scripting languages to improve efficiency
- Actively participate in cross functional collaboration with design teams to ensure a successful product delivery; work with post-Silicon teams to bring up and assist in validation testing
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Master's degree in electrical Engineering and 5-7 years of work experience or Bachelor's degree and 7-9 years of work experience
- Solid understanding of basics of analog and digital design, able to describe circuit behavior and functionality
- Experience in simulating circuits in spice simulators, debugging schematics, plotting and analyzing waveforms
- Demonstrated ability to read and write code in Verilog or System Verilog, use of digital simulators for verifying simple designs
- Work experience with mixed-signal test benches, SVA, functional coverage, constrained randomization and UPF
- Basic knowledge of any HDL for modeling such as Verilog-AMS; SV-RNM is highly desirable, UVM knowledge is a plus
- Knowledge of C, python, Tcl, Perl etc. for developing test content and scripts
- Knowledge of Automotive Functional safety concepts, ISO 26262 qualification experience is a plus
- Self-motivated with the initiative to seek constant improvements in the verification methodologies
- Possess strong initiative, analytical/problem solving skills, teamworking skills and ability to multitask
