Overview

PepsiCo is on the lookout for a Quality Control Analyst to join our Operations team in Little Island on a temporary contract basis.

This role is based in our ingredients plant in Little Island and is a critical component of our manufacturing network. That is why we need dedicated individuals who share our commitment to the fundamentals of our business in safety, quality, service, and efficiency.

The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for the analytical testing of incoming raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products in compliance with product specifications. All activities are conducted in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practice and safety requirements, while ensuring a positive team environment and a focus on continuous improvement. This role will work on a 24/5 shift pattern.

Responsibilities

Principal role accountabilities:

- Comply with Confidentiality Policy.
- Ensure the accurate and timely analysis and disposition of products in accordance with PepsiCo standards and procedures.
- Register and prepare QC (quality control) samples in the laboratory management systems accurately.
- Meticulous attention to sample data entry and preparation.
- Ensure timely and effective issue resolution and communication of the same.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
- Maintain all relevant records and samples in an organised system for quick and effective access to information with a particular focus on traceability.
- Adhere to safe lab practices and GLP (Good Laboratory Practice).

Qualifications

Role Requirements

- BSc in food science, chemistry, or equivalent.
- Experience working with ingredients/materials/products.
- Good root cause analysis and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience in building excellent working relationships with cross-functional teams.
- History of delivering on commitments and managing timelines.
- Ability to develop and streamline/improve processes.
- GC experience essential.

- Demonstrate an understanding of business fundamentals and synergies of cost/quality/service to maximise impact on work effort.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to positively influence others and lead teams.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage a varied workload.
- Ability to work on own initiative, self-motivated.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical findings to project teams, as well as management and other stakeholders, providing recommendations based on experimental data and critical observation.
