Overview

PepsiCo is on the lookout for a Quality Control Analyst to join our Operations team in Little Island on a temporary contract basis.

This role is based in our ingredients plant in Little Island and is a critical component of our manufacturing network. The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for the analytical testing of incoming raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products in compliance with product specifications. All activities are conducted in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practice and safety requirements, while ensuring a positive team environment and a focus on continuous improvement. This role will work on a 24/5 shift pattern.

Responsibilities

Principal role accountabilities:

- Comply with Confidentiality Policy.
- Ensure the accurate and timely analysis and disposition of products in accordance with PepsiCo standards and procedures.
- Register and prepare QC (quality control) samples in the laboratory management systems accurately.
- Meticulous attention to sample data entry and preparation.
- Ensure timely and effective issue resolution and communication of the same.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment as required.
- Maintain all relevant records and samples in an organised system for quick and effective access to information with a particular focus on traceability.
- Adhere to safe lab practices and GLP (Good Laboratory Practice).

Qualifications

Role Requirements

- BSc in food science, chemistry, or equivalent.
- Experience working with ingredients/materials/products.
- Good root cause analysis and troubleshooting experience.
- Experience in building excellent working relationships with cross-functional teams.
- History of delivering on commitments and managing timelines.
- Ability to develop and streamline/improve processes.
- GC experience essential.

- Demonstrate an understanding of business fundamentals and synergies of cost/quality/service to maximise impact on work effort.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to positively influence others and lead teams.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage a varied workload.
- Ability to work on own initiative, self-motivated.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical findings to project teams, as well as management and other stakeholders, providing recommendations based on experimental data and critical observation.
