ATG is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Structural Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team in Cork.
In this role, you will support senior engineers in the design, analysis, and inspection of structural components for a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments. This position provides an excellent opportunity to develop hands-on experience in structural engineering within a collaborative and professional environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems using software tools and manual calculations.
- Support project teams in preparing structural drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Conduct site inspections and evaluations under the supervision of senior engineers.
- Contribute to structural reports, technical documents, and engineering calculations.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Ensure all designs comply with local codes, standards, and regulations.
- Stay current with industry trends, standards, and best practices in structural engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 0-2 years of experience in structural engineering (internship experience preferred).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit and structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
