We are currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics Administrator in Cork city.

Logistics Administrator will be responsible for the following :

Purchasing; storage; distribution; accounts payable; stock management at point of use; community aids and appliance recycling; and contract management solutions (e.g., incontinence direct delivery);

Business / expenditure analysis, strategy development and sourcing and planning, tender competition execution and liaison with other government agencies and management of transition to new contract arrangements;

Procurement systems and data management services;

Procurement advice and support.

To assist the line manager in the day-to-day management of the assigned Procurement function.

To monitor performance of suppliers.

To adhere to policies, procedures and regulations.

To liaise with line manager in identifying items with contract potential.

To work closely with relevant budget holders in relation to planning the required service.

To source suppliers as required by customer demand.

Customer portfolio requisition maintenance & processing

Raising purchase orders for goods & services on SAP

Creating & maintaining requests for new vendor accounts

Creating & maintaining material codes

Managing all order exceptions

Reviewing all open purchase orders & updating status frequently

Advise and participate as required in developing and implementing safety policies/protocols throughout the Procurement Department.

To operate any systems used for the materials management function including computerised system, bar coded systems, top-up systems etc., in accordance with operational procedures.

To provide administrative support to both Sourcing and Logistics functions.

Weekly hours: MON -FRI (35 hrs)

Hourly rate: 19.66 €

Location: Cork city (onsite)
