Job Description:

The AA is embarking on an exciting growth and transformation phase, seeking a Workshop Technician (Mechanic) to operate from the SMR Centre in Ballymount.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Carry out all repair, maintenance, and service work as directed by the Service Manager, adhering to AA & manufacturers procedures.
  • Inspect, assess, and diagnose vehicle issues, ensuring accurate recording of details via jobcard/DMS/eVHC.
  • Record accurately job times via jobcard/DMS/eVHC and maintain the cleanliness, security of the workshop premises, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Answer queries regarding any aspect of the above in liaison with the appropriate staff.
Key Requirements:
  • Qualified motor Mechanic with sound practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical workings of motor vehicles.
  • Must have a current driving licence and ability to make clear written statements.
  • An excellent understanding of systems and processes operated within this environment.
  • A positive can-do attitude, high energy, and eagerness to excel in everything you do.
  • A strong work ethic, quick-thinking problem solver who is proactive in anticipating issues or suggesting new developments.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, and ability to influence and develop relationships with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
